When will compact fluorescent lamps used in street lighting start to be phased out?
Changes to the Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (RoHS) will restrict the sale of mercury-containing PL-L compact fluorescent lamps, effectively banning their sale. The EU will transition from February 2023 with the UK following shortly after.
Bearing this in mind, and with the recent price increases in energy bills, there’s no better time to review your lighting system.
TRT incorporates and develops the latest technologies into its luminaires ensuring product longevity, performance and lifetime is maximised. As a 100% LED business we can offer energy-saving PL-L equivalent products such as our Optio Nano with an excellent return on investment for the client.
